Horse Teaching Unit - Gainesville
Located 3 miles south of the main University of Florida campus, the unit is the primary educational and outreach venue for the Equine Sciences Program at the University of Florida. The 70 acre facility welcomes a variety programs that support equine and livestock programming, programmatic research, private meetings/events, and the programs annual Sale in the Swamp - Performance Horse Sale.
Equine Sciences Center - Ocala
The equine program breeds approximately 30 head of horses each year at the 320-acre complex located 7 miles north of Ocala, Florida. The Equine Sciences Center functions as the primary production hub of the programs breeding and foaling activities that support the Equine Science Programs teaching, research, extension, and general production activities.
